Don’t let the exotic looks (by way of Filipino & Haitian heritage) and charming smile fool you.  This 22 year-old California native is all about working hard and staying focused.  As an athlete she has played basketball, volleyball, and even ran track and field.  She also played volleyball at Long Beach City College, where she was named Offensive MVP in her second year.  She turned down her scholarship to play out of state in the following year so that she could refocus on finishing school early.

After college she was able to land a modeling job as a volleyball model for Mizuno (an international athletic brand).  She has also tried her talents in the Lingerie Basketball League for a bit, but now her sights are set in a different direction.  She is tackling the entertainment business world head on.  She has interned with several major businesses in the entertainment industry, such as MTV Networks and the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers.

In addition to playing various sports, obtaining her graduate’s degree, she is also participating in the Miss California USA 2012 Pageant.  This is the preliminary round for Donald Trump’s Miss USA Pageant, which will be televised on NBC. She has entered the pageant with the name Miss Fitness.

“I decided to choose the title of Miss Fitness, rather than a city name because I want to represent something I am enthusiastic about.  I believe my title, Miss Fitness, works well for me for two reasons.

For one, I am completely passionate about fitness and sports. If I were blessed enough to go on and win Miss California USA, as well as the title of Miss USA, I want to make the topic of health and fitness an issue that others will realize is of great importance.

Secondly, with this title I will be able to put my education to the test. I have just begun my graduate study at USC in Communication Management, with an emphasis in Entertainment Management.

It has been amazing to witness and learn that so many people are willing to invest in me as a person, and what I believe in. I am truly blessed with the most supportive group of friends and family. I am now blessed with the opportunity to be backed by Macleem Sports Wear who supports all my aspirations in regards to sports, my education, and this pageant.”
