We’ll be updating the blog nightly

JUNE 2

We had the pleasure of having a pre-game home cooked meal from a friend of our host. First promotional stop on the Hooptainers Colombian Goodwill Tour was to a visit a members of a church in Bogota. We played a fun filled 3-on-3 with several attendants and then ended the show with No He Didn’t dunking over 3 guests and then another dunk over a blindfolded member in the chair. Afterwards, we thanked them for coming and spoke about the importance of working together and believing in yourself. We spent over an hour posing for photos, autographing posters, cards and t-shirts.

June 3

We flew North East to Valledupar and then took a 2 hour drive to La Guarija.  La Guarija is home to one of the world’s largest coal mine.  The area we are staying in houses over 2,000 workers and their family.

Upon our arrival, we met with Pastor Roberto Gonzalez and he took us on a tour of the area.  We then had a fun question & answer session with a group of students at the mine’s school.  Later that night we did a promo 3-on-3 game with some of the high school players. Capped off the night with No He Didn’t dunking over 3 kid & the pastor (who was seated on a bike, while blindfolded)!

Stay tuned, for more!
